Connect Groups meet throughout the summer and focused around an activity. Connect Groups are a great way to live in an authentic faith community that fosters a vibrant and deepening relationship with God.

  • A Glass Gathering

    Saturdays July 15 & 22 (3:00pm-5:00pm) – Fireside Room

    The class will be making a Hanging Glass Sun Catcher.  Class 1 - using different colors and pieces of glass student will create the 3 main sections    Class 2 - we will connect the sections together with bead and wire elements.  Must attend both classes.  Cost $15 for supplies.

    Sundays, July 9, 16, 30 (12:30pm)

    Come enjoy 3 classes of fun trainings including basic knife skills, basic béchamel sauce and learn a new twist on the classic dish Ratatouille.  Lunch will be provided by Chef Seed for the first 2 classes (cost $15 for ingredients/supplies) followed by a fun group dinner OUT for the third (everyone pays for their own dinner).  Classes will be held at King Cycle Group in Portland.

  • Connect and Serve Too!

    Monday Aug 14 & Tuesday Aug 15 (9:30am – noon)

    Our local outreach team is focused on helping our congregation serve kids & families in unstable housing situations.  This group will continue an ongoing service project at the Life Change Center in Beaverton repainting the interior of the Women and Children’s shelter.  Our Connect group will paint dorm room doors 9:30 – 11 followed by a casual lunch somewhere in the neighborhood.   Men & Women are welcome. Kids too! (There’s a big yard to play in). Many hands make light work.

    6/19, 6/22, 7/10, 7/13, 7/17, 7/20, 7/24 and 7/27 (6:15pm-7:30pm) - Gym

    Come for as many as you can!!!  Jump4joy is more than just a fitness class.  It is a place where people come together to visit, laugh and pray with one another and move to some great music which includes: Latin, Bollywood and current Christian Pop. Notice I said “move” and not “dance”! ;) All abilities are welcome! Our goal is to sweat and have a smile on your face while leaving the class feeling better than how you came in by the power and encouragement that comes from the Holy Spirit.

  • Rethinking Retirement

    Tuesdays - Aug 8, 15, 22

    Newly retired or anticipating retiring soon?  We will gather together over a casual potluck meal to discuss together the biblical principles around choices, purpose, transition and finances in retirement. We will meet at the leader’s homes.

  • Running Group

    Wed 6/28, Tue 7/11, Tue 7/18, Tue 8/1, Tue 8/8, Thurs 8/17, Tue 8/22

    with 5k race on Saturday 9/2

    All ages welcome. We will be running on pavement and trails, multiple pace groups (but NOT a walking group).  First group run on 6/28 will meet at church at 7pm. Other locations will be communicated.

  • The new 4Ts hike

    Saturday, July 15 (9:30 am - 12:30 pm) - Full

    Saturday, August 5 (9:30 am - 12:30 pm)

    Tram, Train, Trail & Tillikum Bridge -  Hike the Trail from the Oregon Zoo to OHSU; take the Tram to the South Waterfront; stop for refreshments before walking across the Tillikum Bridge; purchase MAX tickets to take the Train back to the Zoo.  Open to anyone capable of hiking 4 miles with 1,000’ gain in elevation.  Disclaimer:  leaders are “honored citizens” who will set a moderate pace.

    Sign up for one or as many golf outings as you like and enjoy old and new friends as we play a game we all enjoy together.  There is a meal at each outing, but you can join us on the tee box if it fits your schedule better.

    Finding the Spirit of Sabbath in a Busy World

    Friday evenings - July 7 & 21, Aug 4 & 18 (6:30-8:30 pm)

    Exploring the lost habit of a Sabbath rest by hosting Shabbat dinners (or picnics). Easy potluck meal and time for discussion

  • Bible Study: 3 Women from the OLD Testament

    Women’s Bible study meeting for 3 times looking at 3 different women in the Old Testament.  No prep work is needed, just bring a Bible.  The studies individual and do not require attendance at all 3.
