Food and Toy

This year wouldn’t be the same without Food & Toy! We will still be serving families in need this year with food and toys for Christmas. Our team is prayerfully planning to serve the same number of families this year as we have in the past. With COVID-19 in mind, we are serving in a different way and we need your help!

What’s different?

  • We will replace the Assist-a-Family program with a Toy Drive and financial donations.
  • We will pack food boxes with a small team instead of our large church event.
  • We will wrap gifts in small teams throughout the fall.
  • We will all deliver the food and toys on December 19 using a low-contact process.

DELIVERY DAY: Delivery Drivers Needed

Please save December 19 in your calendars for our low-contact delivery day. We need drivers to drop off food boxes and toys to families that we are serving. This activity will be a low-contact pickup from the church and a low-contact drop off on the doorstep of the family. If you choose to deliver to more than one family, we will attempt to have you deliver to families who attend the same school.

Delivery Day: CAR Loaders

We also need your help to load food into the cars! There are two food loading shifts you can sign up for.

  • Shift 1 goes from 7 – 11 am. Volunteers will set up the food loading station, help load cars with food boxes, bags, and frozen meats.
  • Shift 2 is from 10 am – 3 pm. Volunteers will also help load cars with food boxes, bags, and frozen meats, but they will tear down the station once the event is over.

Volunteers will need to be able to repeatedly lift 10-15 pound boxes. This loading task will follow all requirements for social distancing and handling of food during the pandemic. Please select which shift you want to work. If you want to work both shifts, we’d love to have you! Please register for both of them through the link below.
