Our Helping Hands Food Pantry has grown it’s outreach to our community during COVID-19 with record-high service levels. Weekly we are serving close to 500 people, a 65% increase from January. While the need for food assistance continues to rise, our regular supply channels for purchasing food are being interrupted, making some of the pantry’s basic items like noodles and canned meat difficult to get. So Sunset is going to host a no-contact Drive & Drop Food Drive.
When you shop, please purchase a few of these items in a bag or box. Then, on Sunday, May 3rd from noon to 2:00 pm, drive up to Sunset where volunteers, in masks and gloves, will collect the items from your trunk or back of your vehicle. You will never have to get out of your car! If you cannot shop you can give online to Helping Hands by utilizing the button/link provided.
